FINAL PROJECT STEP 1: IMMERSIVE LEARNING SPACES

Immersive learning spaces are collaborated through the Libraries and Museums Technology Working Group. This development expands the services of Immersive Education. Immersive Education Study Rooms have been designed and developed to enhance education. Students can build and learn off one another in these Study Rooms by sharing a web browser and having access to one another's documents as well as collaborating with one another. This collaboration learning space is very beneficial for those who cannot meet in person. 

Bilingual educational virtual products are also a collaboration learning space that Immersive Education has introduced. This allows students to learn about ecological concepts. In this example, the Case Study Diagram takes advantage of bilingual educational resources. Mentoring, student-teacher involvement, parents support, STEM Career Exposure, and the development of the 21st century skills are just a few that are available in this learning space. Certain content is identified and reinforced in the game particular to certain cultures. 

Meetings are held once a month in learning spaces. This is very beneficial allowing virtual world meeting to be held at more convenient times. These teleconferences or virtual world meetings are usually held once a month, whereas face-to-face meetings are held twice a year to maximize working relationships.

Class 7: Twitter Group Messaging

These are screenshots with my teammates Francis, Jeff and Michael. We are exploring what twitter group messaging is and the features of it. I included a link that teaches you a little bit more about the use of twitter group messaging. From this, we contacted the two people for Immersion 2016 Outreach.  

Class 7: Minecraft: Interface Fundamentals

In Minecraft, no 2 worlds are the same. This is a screenshot of showing what left clicking and right clicking does. Left click to destroy a block, which you will gather and harvest the block to use as inventory. 

Your inventory is stored in the crafting area. By creating a crafting table with blocks, it will allow you to have a larger crafting area, 3x3 instead of the given 2x2. This will allow you to store more inventory in it. 

To place your blocks, or crafting table shown here, target a spot and aim. Simply click on your crafting table to open it. When creating a new item, build it in a pattern resembling what you are trying to make. 

The furnace is another item that they suggest you make. It allows you to create other items and to store them in it, creating more space for inventory. 

Food is another feature of Minecraft. To gather food, you must kill the animals, such as cattle, etc to get beef which you can make into leather. With these things you can also make clothes such as leggings, boots, amour etc. 

Once you die in minecraft, you loose all of the inventory that you had in your crafting table and furnace. You are automatically started from scratch and must rebuild your items. 

There are several options in minecraft that you can control. One cool feature is the 3D feature. If you have the old fashion 3D glasses you can play Minecraft in 3D. You can also set the difficulty to easy, medium or difficult depending on your choice. 

Punching trees allows you to gather wood. This is necessary to build a home, build tools, and other items that you desire. 

The crafting basics of Minecraft are pretty simple as long as you are using the pattern of the item you are trying to make. You cannot go back once you have placed the items in the block though. So choose wisely if you do not have many items in your crafting table. 

A pick is necessary for destryoing coal, which is shown here. Coal is necessary for surviving your first night of Minecraft. You can use coal to make a torch which can me used as light to keep the monsters away. 

A pick is necessary to destroy a lot of things in Minecraft. You must be mindful of what tool you are using to destroy something, because at times the item will not be useful if it is not destroyed with the correct tool.

Magic Leap, Microsoft HoloLens, HTC Valvue Vive, and Samsung Virtual Reality

Immersive Education's "Buzz" page is filled with technologies that I believe will change and help the way our society interacts with others, both virtually and in person.

I found Magic Leap to be the most interesting technology out of them all. The software and hardware of Magic Leap is very advanced within the gaming industry. The use of your hands and touch is a very advanced technology to be able to use within a video game, so the capability that Magic Leap has over others is very impressive.

Microsoft HoloLens is a technology that essentially is a computer inside of a headset. You are able to not only hear and see, but actually interact with various environments. Some environments being a living room, community, house, building, etc. The high definition lenses of the Microsoft Hololens make for it to be a more advanced and cool technology as well that have the immersive experience.

The Samsung VR is another amazing virtual headset that I found very cool. This technology has many benefits for various people. It allows for a different type of experience than the rest of the gaming and virtual headsets. The Samsung VR allows for live feed. In one case, a father was able to watch his child be born through the headset because he could not physically be there. This goes to show that soldiers will be given more opportunities to virtually see their families and friends while overseas.
